Bio:
My name is Sixin Zhai. I received my bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering and my master's degree in Polymers and Coatings Science from Cal Poly, SLO. As a PhD student in Materials and Biomaterials Science and Engineering at UC Merced, my current research focuses on exploring the interfacial and surface properties of biomaterials to develop innovative devices that will address biotechnological concerns in the field. Outside the lab, I enjoy spending time outdoors and connecting with nature.
